SFC will be bringing 5 participants for the Midwest Youth Foil Competition this coming Saturday. This will be a first tourney for 4 of them, so it should be quite an exciting day. Good luck Matt, Hannah, Gantt and Conner!!! And Freddie,let's show 'em what SFC can do!!
Wednesday, Oct. 3rd - St. Paul's has a Potluck Dinner the first Wednesday of every month from 6 - 7 p.m. So this week, you are invited to the potluck (the church is providing BBQ! YUM) so a dish to pass to compliment bbq is welcomed. We will fence starting just after 7 (we will help take down tables & chairs, of course.)
Saturday, Oct. 6th - Open Fencing starting at 11 a.m.
Tournaments this month include two in Evanston - one on the 6th and one on the 20 - 21st. Jay & Joanne may be headed to Evanston for a day trip and Foil fencing on the 6th. Jay, Grace & Kevin are looking to go north on the 20th/21st - Kevin for Foil on the Saturday, and Jay for Foil on Sat and Epee on Sunday. Lots of "A" fencers both days!!!!

St. Paul's notified us they are having a Potluck Dinner tonight, September 5th in the Great Hall. This means - no fencing tonight, but we are invited to participate in the potluck! The dinner runs from 5:30 to 7:00 -ish...
Dress is casual. Food is too (Lenore is bringing asparagus, Kevin&Grace are bringing carrot cake, Joanne won't say, nor will Ashley....) See you there!!!
