Classes will be on hold for a few weeks - Coach Hughes is scheduled for surgery on his knee on Friday, Jan. 11th. The doc says he will be off his feet for a couple weeks, and will then be allowed to gradually add physical activities after that... Will let you know how it progresses.
First - Sincerest apologies about canceling last weekend, especially if you didn't get the word ... No fencing this weekend either due to family health issues. Make-up classes the following Saturday, Dec. 29th, or one-on-one by appointment.
There WILL be open fencing on Weds the 26th if you want to come out and break in all the new fencing gear Santa is bringing....
Next set of classes will (hopefully) start middle/end of January. Coach has to have knee surgery (torn meniscus) and recuperation time is 2 - 3 weeks before he can teach again - waiting for orthopedic doc to schedule surgery date...

Fencing CANCELED
Snow fall is the reality today - and more is called for (up to 5") and my subdivision is unplowed and quite slippery, so I am canceling Fencing Classes and Open Fencing... will schedule a Make-up Class in the near future....
The weather service has issued a snow advisory for saturday - snow starting a bout 3 am in the Springfield area.... total accumulation between 3 & 5 inches. Will wait to see what it looks like around 7:30 am before deciding whether to cancel fencing tomorrow (Sat, the 15th).
